Wealth derived from the community should be reinvested locally. Investments should be made in both the present and the future. All people have potential, and every person has a role in strengthening the community. You are a vital member of the L.A. Kitchen community and your support will change lives today and into the future!

Honoring Cultural Holidays:  Special Kitchen Prep Events

In the last year, we worked to expand our volunteer calendar to include holy days or events that are important to numerous faith traditions, as well as days that honor independence and liberation leaders who are important to L.A.’s deeply diverse communities.

Join L.A. Kitchen’s monthly cultural programming series where culture, education, and service vibrantly intersect. These volunteer service days will be enhanced by activities that recognize and celebrate important cultural days through cooking, storytelling and community partnerships. Volunteers have the opportunity to learn about L.A.’s diverse cultures with a short cooking demo or talk before the Kitchen Prep session.
